ALL ABOUT ROCKY MOUNTAIN FLYERS

Great news, after a few very arduous and financially taxing years, Red Deer Forestry has been re-surveyed, timber rights payed, insurance obtained through upgraded fencing, and a 25 year lease signed.

A new, independent non-profit association titled Rocky Mountain Flyers Association has been formed with the sole purpose of accepting the Stewardship of CFR7, Red Deer Forestry Airstrip.

The objectives of this Society are :

(a) to promote grassroots aviation, backcountry flying, and related activities;

(b) to promote and generally encourage flying and related activities among members of the association as well as the community at large in which the activities of the Society are to be carried on;

(c) to provide instruction and education to members of the association and to the community at large in all aspects of flying, aircraft identification and operation, aeronautic regulations, and air safety;

(d) to purchase or otherwise acquire property of every nature and kind in the furtherance of the objectives of the Society;

(e) to provide a meeting place for the consideration and discussions of questions affecting the promotion and organization of flying within the community;

(f) to provide all necessary equipment and furniture for carrying on its various objectives;

(g) to raise funds as required to accomplish the objectives of the Society, including acceptance of gifts, donations, grants, legacies, bequests and inheritances;

(h) to sell, manage, lease, or otherwise dispose of the property of the Society;

(i) to engage in any lawful act or activity for which the Society may be organized under the laws of the Province of Alberta and the Laws of Canada.
